Presented by Colleen Smith, LCSW from Monmouth County Office on Aging and Tess Tomasi from Bergen County Division of Senior Services

Many caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia are not aware that there are valuable programs and resources available through New Jersey’s local county Offices on Aging. Each of New Jersey’s 21 counties has an Office on Aging dedicated to the coordination of community-based services for older adults, individuals with disabilities and their caregivers, including those with dementia. Some programs are unique to a specific county while others are available throughout the state.

Join Alzheimer’s New Jersey along with Tess Tomasi, I&A/Care Management Supervisor, Bergen County Division of Senior Services, and Colleen Smith, LCSW Caregiver Specialist, Monmouth County Office on Aging, to learn about the role of the Office on Aging and resources available statewide. These include programs related to home safety and respite from caregiving as well as financial assistance.
