Our Mom was in the final stage of this horrible disease when this picture was taken. Six months away from us and in another country and when Mom received her Christmas card she recognized her grandkids. Her reaction took us by surprise she put her hand to her chest and cried repeating these are my babies my beautiful grandkids. It will happen and when it does it’s surreal a brief moment you don’t want to miss. – Ana Grifo
