Sandra Yeager (caregiver)

My father has Alzheimer’s. This disease has affected everyone in our family especially my mom who is his caregiver. While everyone experiences aging of themselves and their parents dealing with Alzheimer’s is so different. The person is still on this earth but there not here anymore. Unless someone experiences it you can’t understand how life changing it is for the person who had it and their family. I am not the same person I was before my dad was stricken with Alzheimer’s; there is a sadness every day. I am grieving the loss of a person who is right in front of me and unlike grieving a death it doesn’t pass.
